Whitstable Endowed Junior School
When a school wanted to make a real show of their Christmas
‘Oliver’ theme, they decided a foam mannequin was the perfect centrepiece for

Whitstable Endowed Junior School is a Church of England
school based in Whitstable, Kent. With six classes, the school admits 48 new
pupils every year from its infant feeder schools. They are an old school with a
young heart, with a focus on creating a special family within the school so
that the pupils can learn together and have fun.
The school had planned to decorate their building with
scenes from the famous story of ‘Oliver’ for Christmas. Their Christmas play
was going to be ‘Oliver’, and various scenes, paintings and displays were
planned for throughout the school. For the main entrance, they wanted children
and visitors to be greeted by Oliver himself, and the famous Mr. Bumble. The
decided a
soft flexible mannequin would be better than a fibreglass one, as
they would have more options for the pose, and more control over how the

convenience. Once we had made these foam mannequins, we shipped them straight
to the school, ready for them to be transformed into the characters by the
children.
The end results
The school thought our foam mannequin models were perfect
for their needs. The children got to work right away decorating each bendy
mannequin to turn them into Mr. Bumble and Oliver, and you can see their
